  • Steamed Rice:  Helps soak up all that buttery Cajun goodness.
  • Pickled okra or Cucumbers:  a tangy, southern style bite.
  • Coleslaw:  Creamy and cool to balance the spice.

FAQ:

Can I make this ahead of time?

Absolutely!  This dish reheats beautifully.  Just store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Can I freeze it?

Yes, though potatoes may get a little softer upon thawing.  Freeze in portions for quick meals.

What kind of potatoes work best?

Russet potatoes break down a little more and soak up flavor, while Yukon Golds hold their shape better.  Both are delicious!

Crockpot Swamp Potatoes are comfort food at its finest.  Smokey, buttery, and bursting with Cajun Flavor, it's the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes with that first bite and say, "Mmm...this is good."

Whether you're feeding your family on a busy weeknight or hosting a potluck, this recipe is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.  Serve it with a few classic Southern sides, and you've got a meal that tastes like it came straight from a Louisiana kitchen!
