They're quick to make, delightful to eat, and sure to add a sprinkle of holiday cheer to your gatherings. Whether you're hosting a party, looking for easy Christmas dinner appetizer, or planning a fun activity with the kids, this recipe is your ticket to holiday magic. I can't wait to share it with you so...
Let's Get Started!
WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS RECIPE:
- Fast and Easy: With ready-made puff pastry, these pizzas come together in minutes.
- Customizable: Add your favorite toppings to make each tree unique.
- Kid-Friendly: A fun, hands on activity for little helpers.
- Irresistible Flavors: The buttery, flaky crust pairs perfectly with savory pizza toppings.
INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED:
- 1 Sheet of Puff Pastry (thawed, but still cold)
- Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 cup Pizza Sauce
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Assorted Toppings: Thinly Sliced Bell Peppers, Mini Pepperoni, Olives, Basil
HOW TO MAKE THE MINI CHRISTMAS TREE PIZZAS:
- Prep the Puff Pastry: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until it's slightly thinner. Using a Christmas tree cookie cutter, cut out tree shapes. Re-roll scraps to use up all the dough.
- Assemble the Trees: Place the pastry trees on a parchment lined baking sheet. Brush with a little olive oil and sprinkle with the garlic salt. This enhances the flavor of the crust. Add a thin layer of pizza sauce.
- Top It Off: Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over sauce. Decorate with your choice of toppings to make each tree look festive.
- Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden and crispy.
- Serve and Enjoy: Let cool slightly, then serve warm. These are best enjoyed fresh, you can be reheated if needed.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS:
- Keep It Cold: Work quickly with puff pastry to keep it cold for optimal puffing. If it gets too warm, pop it in the fridge for a few minutes.
- Go Wild with Toppings: Think beyond the basics--pineapple chunks, crumbled bacon, or even a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Pair It Up: Serve with a side of marinara or dipping or a fresh green salad to round out the meal.
