Let's get started!

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS RECIPE:

This cheesy pork chop and rice bake is a one-pan wonder that combines the convenience of a casserole with the richness of a gourmet meal.  It's perfect for busy weeknights when you want something filling and delicious without spending hours in the kitchen.  Plus, it's a great way to get the family excited about dinner!

INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:

For this Cheesy Pork Chop and Rice Bake Recipe you will need a few simple ingredients:

  • 4 Pork Chops, I used boneless center cut ones.
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Instant Rice
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can of Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, and Paprika
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • French Fried Onions
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Preheat Your Oven:  Set your oven to 350°F/175°C to get it ready for baking.

2.  Prepare the Pork Chops:  Season both sides of the pork chops with the seasonings listed above.  Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.  Brown the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they develop a nice golden crust.  Remove from the skillet and set aside.

3.  Combine the Rice and Broth:  In a large baking dish, mix together the rice, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and milk.

4.  Arrange the Pork Chops:  Place the browned pork chops on top of the rice mixture.  Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to ensure everything cooks evenly and retains moisture.

5.  Bake:  Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes.  Check to ensure the rice is fully cooked and the pork chops are tender.

6.  Add Cheese and Toppings:  Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and french fried onions over the top.  Return to oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7.  Serve:  Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.  Enjoy the cheesy savory goodness of this comforting dish.

TIPS FOR THE PERFECT CHEESY POKR CHOP AND RICE BAKE:
  • Choose the Right Pork Chops:  Thicker pork chops stay juicier during baking.
  • Pre-Browning:  Don't skip browning the pork chops; it enhances flavor.
  • Add Vegetables:  Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like peas, carrots, or mushrooms for extra nutrients.
  • Check the Rice:  Depending on your oven, you might need to add a bit more broth if the rice isn't fully cooked by the end of the baking time.

Comfort food doesn't get much better than this.  The combination of tender pork chops, creamy rice, and gooey cheese makes this dish irresistible.  Give this Cheesy Pork Chop and Rice Bake recipe a try, and it might just become a new family favorite.

And as always...
