Let's Get Started!

INGREDIENTS:
For this Quick and Easy Pasta Recipe you will need a few simple ingredients:

The ingredients needed for the Quick and Easy Pasta Pizza Recipe.

  • 1 lb of your favorite Pasta
  • 1 lb of Pork Sausage
  • 1 package of sliced Pepperoni, cut into quarter pieces. (reserve slices for top)
  • 1 (14 oz) jar of Pizza Sauce
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Cook the Pasta:  Bring a large pot of water to boil.  Add the pasta and cook according the package instructions until al dente.  You can also cook the pasta in your Instant Pot.  I'll link the instructions (HERE).
  2. Prepare the Sauce:  In a large, deep skillet heat olive oil over medium heat.  I like to use an oven safe pan because this will go under the broiler at the end.  Add the sausage and cook until no longer pink and fully cooked. Drain the fat from the pan and then add the onion, bell pepper, pepperoni, and garlic.  Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Combine Ingredients:  Add the cooked pasta to the pan.  Add the pizza sauce and stir everything together, making sure everything is well coated.  Taste for Seasoning and make any adjustments you feel it needs.
  4. Final Touches:  Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning over the top.  Add slices of pepperoni over the top.
  5. Brown the Cheese:  Place the pan under the broiler until the cheese has melted and is brown and bubbly.
  6. Serve:  Transfer the Pizza Pasta to a plate or bowl.  Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot!

TIPS AND TRICKS:
  • Vegetable Variations:  Feel free to add or substitute your favorite pizza toppings like olives, or zucchini.
  • Protein Boost:  Swap out the pepperoni or sausage for grilled chicken or even bacon bits for a different flavor profile.
  • Make it Cheesy:  For an extra cheesy experience, top the pasta with additional mozzarella or even a cheddar blend.
  • Spice it Up:  Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you like a little heat in your pasta.
