Roasted Brussel Sprouts with a Balsamic Glaze

No holiday table would be complete without something green.  Who are we kidding?  My husband will tell you that no meal in our house would be complete without something green.  lol Usually a family go-to would be the ever popular green bean casserole, but since we are cleaning things up this year why not give these festive Roasted Brussel Sprouts with a Balsamic Glaze a try.

I know, I know.  You're thinking "Mandee, brussel sprouts?  REALLY!?!"  But my answer is firm YES!  These delicious little green morsels are PACKED full of great flavor and I know you're going to love them.  I can't wait to share this recipe with you so...

Let's Get Started!

Roasted Brussel Sprouts with a Balsamic Glaze:
*Prep Time:  5 min  *Cook Time: 10-15 min *Difficulty:  Easy *Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Fresh Brussel Sprouts
  • 2-3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 c Sun-Dried Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 c Crumbled Feta Cheese
  • 1/4 c Balsamic Vinegar, reduced
To begin you will need to preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

Next trim the wordy ends off of your brussel sprouts and cute them in half.

Place them onto a baking sheet, drizzle them with the oil, and season with salt and pepper.
Put into the preheated oven and cook for 10-15 minutes.

Roasting is the ONLY way I like to eat my brussel sprouts.  It makes them the perfect consistency, and adds great flavor.

While the brussel sprouts are roasting, pour the balsamic vinegar into a small pan and turn the heat to medium/heat and let reduce to half of the amount you put in the pan.

This will sweeten the vinegar up and thicken it into a beautiful silky glaze.

When you remove the brussel sprouts from the oven, transfer them into the serving dish of your choice, add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes, sprinkle over the feta cheese, and drizzle over the glaze. This dish a a stunner on the table, so good for you, and can we talk about how festive it is?  You will never look at brussel sprouts the same way again.  It's couldn't be easier, so get in the kitchen and give these Roasted Brussel Sprouts with a Balsamic Glaze a try tonight!

And as always...

Happy Reading, Happy Eating, and Happy Holidays,
