Simple Autumn Sangria Recipe

Hey Y'all and welcome to my West Virginia Kitchen!  When the air turns crisp and the leaves start to fall, nothing says cheers to autumn quite like a glass of sangria with a seasonal twist.  This Simple Autumn Sangria Recipe blends rich red wine, crisp apples, citrusy oranges, and warm cinnamon sticks for a drink that's cozy, refreshing, and perfect for any fall gathering.

Whether you're hosting a bonfire, celebrating Friendsgiving, or just want a fun cocktail to sip on your porch while rapped in a blankey, this sangria is a seasonal must.  Plus, it comes together in minutes--no bartending skills required!  I can't wait to share it with you so...

Let's Get Started!

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS AUTUMN SANGRIA:
  • Quick & Easy:  Just slice, pour, and stir.  Done in less that 10 minutes.
  • Perfectly Seasonal:  Apples, oranges, and cinnamon bring fall flavors to life.
  • Crowd Pleasing:  A pitcher makes enough to share with friends and family.
  • Make Ahead Friendly:  The flavors only get better as it chills.

INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:
  • 1 Bottle of Red Wine (your choice-Merlot, Cabernet, or Pinot Noir work beautifully)
  • 4 cups Lemon-Lime Soda
  • 2 Macintosh Apples, diced
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples, diced
  • 2 Oranges, sliced
  • 4 Cinnamon Sticks

HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE AUTUMN SANGRIA:
  • Prep the Fruit:  Dice the apples and slice the oranges.  Leave the peels on for extra flavor and color.
  • Mix It Up:  In a large pitcher, add the fruit and cinnamon sticks.  Pour in the bottle of red wine.
  • Top It Off:  Add the lemon-lime soda for a fizzy, refreshing finish.
  • Chill & Serve:  Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving to let the flavors mingle.  Serve over ice with a cinnamon stick garnish for that extra autumn flair.

TIPS & VARIATIONS:
  • Make It Stronger:  Swap the soda for ginger ale or add a splash of brandy.
  • Go White:  Prefer white wine?  Try a crisp Sauvignon Blanc for a lighter sangria.
  • Sugar & Spice Rim:  Dip your glass rims in cinnamon sugar for a festive touch.
  • Non-Alcoholic Version:  Use grape juice instead of wine and keep the soda.  Perfect for kids and non-drinkers!

WHEN TO SERVE AUTUMN SANGRIA:

This recipe is perfect for:
