INGREDIENTS:
  • 6 Large Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Dill
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

CREATIVE ADD-INS:
  • Avocado:  Add creamy avocado for a dose of healthy fats.
  • Crispy Bacon:  Crumble some cooked bacon for a smokey flavor.
  • Pickles:  Chopped dill pickles for a tangy crunch.
  • Red Onion:  Add a bit of spice with finely chopped red onion.
  • Herbs:  Fresh dill and parsley will elevate the flavor profile.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Boil the Eggs:  Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with water.  Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat.  Let sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Cool and Peel:  Drain the hot water and run cold water over the eggs.  Once cool, peel the eggs and chop them.
  3. Mix the Salad:  In a bowl, combine chopped eggs, mayonnaise, reilsh, dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Customize:  Stir in any creative add-ins you choose.
  5. Serve:  Enjoy your egg salad on bread, in a wrap, or on its own as a salad.

TIPS AND TRICKS:
  • Perfectly Boiled Eggs:  For easy peeling, use slightly older eggs and cool them quickly in an ice bath after boiling.  If you are REALLY in a pinch, use the pre-boiled one you can find in the egg section.  I use them all the time and they work great in this recipe.
  • Consistency:  Adjust the amount of mayonnaise to achieve your desired creaminess.
  • Flavor Boost:  Add a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra flavor.
