Sauerkraut and sausage is nothing new under the sun. Growing up is was just simply throw it all in a pot with some water and call it done. There is nothing wrong with that. However, I like to really utilize my spice cabinet and elevate these simple dishes that I grew up with and make them just a little more special. That's why I'm excited to share with you this Crockpot Sauerkraut Sausage and Potatoes Recipe.
All the basic, inexpensive ingredients we love, but with just a little something extra. I think even your picky eaters might give this one a try. Mine did. Let me show you how I made it.
TIPS FOR THIS RECIPE:
Q: Can I use pork in this recipe instead of smoked sausage?
A: Yes, but just know that WILL affect the cooking time. That would make is 4-5 hours on HIGH or 8-10 hours on LOW with a 3 pound pork loin roast. You may also need to adjust the seasonings.
TIP:
I HIGHLY recommend Knorr Chicken Bullion Powder for this recipe. It packs a real punch of flavor and makes a difference.
