This soup. Y'all, this soup may be one of the best things I have ever made. Well, in terms of soup that is. While scrolling on TikTok the other day I saw several people making what they called Cheeseburger Soup. I had never heard of such a thing, but seeing as though my husband's FAVORITE food is cheeseburgers, I knew I needed to give this one a try. Man-o-Man y'all this Crockpot Cheeseburger Soup with Sesame Seed Buns and Croutons is the things dreams are made of.
I literally threw a bunch of stuff I had in the pantry in the pot because I didn't have recipe and WOW! I KNOW this one is gonna go on your regular rotation. Here is how I made it!
TIPS FOR THIS RECIPE:
Q: Can this be made vegan/vegetarian?
A: 100% yes! Just use plant-based meat, cheese, and milk and voila!
Q: Do I have to use Velveeta?
A: No. You couple definitely use 2 cups of shredded cheese here and get the same affect.
Q: What can I use in place of the potatoes to keep it low carb?
A: I feel like the go-to answer here is cauliflower. Or you could just leave it out and use 2 lbs of beef.
Q: Do I have to make homemade croutons?
A: Nope. Use store bought or just use crackers. Heck, leave it out all together. It's your soup!
**THINGS I WOULD ADD**
If I would have had these things on hand I would have added heavy cream or half and half. You could even use a little milk to make it even creamer. And I would have TOTALLY chopped up some dill pickles to garnish with!
This looks really good and I can't wait to try it! You said that you would use half and half instead of milk but I don't see milk listed as an ingredient in the recipe? And when do you add the broth and water?
