INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 bag of Frozen Dumplings (pork, chicken, or vegetable)
  • 4 cups Vegetable Broth (you could also use beef, or chicken)
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger, minced
  • Shiitake Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach
  • 1/2 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Mirin
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar or Honey for a sweeter broth
  • 1 tsp Sriracha Sauce
  • Green Onions, Cilantro, and Lime Wedges for toppings







INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Prepare the  Broth:  In a medium pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat.  Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.  
  2. Add the Broth:  Pour in the vegetable, chicken, or beef broth, along with the water, and bring to a boil.  Stir in the soy sauce, mirin, sriracha, and shiitake mushrooms. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Cook the Dumplings:  Gently add the frozen dumplings.  Simmer for another 5-6 minutes, or until the dumplings float to the top and are cooked through.  
  4. Add Vegetables:  Stir in the spinach and let it wilt in the hot broth for 1-2 minutes. 
  5. Finish and Serve: Ladle soup into bowls, sprinkle with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro, and serve with a lime wedge on the side for a citrusy kick.
