Crockpot Salisbury Steak Meatballs Recipe

Growing up salisbury steak was one of my favorite meals.  Even today it's my go-to when company comes over for dinner.  The thing is salisbury steak can be a little time consuming so when I saw someone make Crockpot Salisbury Meatballs I knew I had to try it out.

You guys.  This was absolutely delicious.  The best part it is a TRUE dump and go crockpot meal that you and your entire family are going to love.  Here is how I made it.

TIPS FOR THIS RECIPE:

Q:  Can this be made vegetarian/vegan.

A:  Yes, very easily.  Just substitute the meatballs with the vegan alternative, use vegetable broth or not-beef broth, use anchovy free Worcestershire sauce, and a Vegetable Brown Gravy mix like the one from Simply Organic.

Q:  Do I have to use frozen meatballs?

A:  No, you do not.  However, you will need to brown the meatballs ahead of time and possible add more liquid to make sure they cook evenly.

Q:  Do I have to use the Brown Gravy Mix packets?

A:  No, of course not.  You are always welcome to create your own gravy in the crockpot.  Just keep in mind that this recipe is curated to the ingredients listed above.  Any change that you make will affect the final outcome.

Q:  Do I have to use mushrooms?

A:  No.

Q:  Do I have to use onions?

A:  No, but I would definitely bump up the onion powder.
