Easy 16 Minute Beef Teriyaki Stir Fry Recipe

 Being a wife and a mom is hard.  There are always a million things to do and my boys are ALWAYS wanting fed.  Combine that with working full-time and life get a little crazy.  That is why I am always keeping ingredients on hand for some SUPER QUICK AND SIMPLE meals ideas.  This Easy 16 Minute Beef Teriyaki Stir Fry Recipe is one of our absolute favs.

Hearty, flavorful, and on the table in around 16 minutes,  It's a win/win for everyone.   I would also like to say that this entire meal easily feeds 4-6 and costs around $10.00 to make.  

Here I how I do it:



TIPS FOR THIS RECIPE:

Q:  Do I have to use shaved beef?  

A:  No, you can use any kind of meat you like. Steak, ground meat, the choice is yours.  Heck, you can even use chicken.  Just know that changing the protein WILL affect the cooking time on this recipe.  It will make it more of a 30 minute meal than a 16.  

Q: Do I have to use bottled Teriyaki Sauce?

A:  No.  In fact here is my recipe for homemade.  It's super simple and will, again, make this a 30 minute meal vs. 16. 

  • 1 1/2 c. Water
  • 3 tbsp. Corn Starch
  • 1/2 c.  Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 c. Honey
  • 1/2 c. Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder.
  • 1 tsp. Sesame Oil
Directions:
To a sauce pan add the water, corn starch, brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and sesame oil and whisk together until combined.
Place over medium/high heat and bring to a simmer.
While whisking, let the sauce simmer for 2 minutes until it is thick and glossy.  

Q: Can I use Fresh Vegetables:
A:  Of course!  Again, that will change the cook time a little.
