Quick and Easy Taco Pie Recipe

This past week I was staying with my sister in Columbus, Ohio.  She is the stay-at-home momma of 4 children that she homeschools.  She's a busy woman to say the least, and seeing this all in action made me want to come up with some quick and easy meals that not only she, but you can get on the table during this busy back-to-school season.  Her family LOVED this recipe for Quick and Easy Taco Pie and I know you will too!

For this Quick and Easy Taco Pie you will need:

The ingredients you will need to make the Quick and Easy Taco Pie.

  • 1 lb of Ground Beef
  • 2 cans of Crescent Rolls
  • 1 packet of Taco Seasoning
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese
  • Green Onions, Avocado, Diced Tomato, and Sour Cream to top
This is seriously one of the easiest meals I have ever made.  

To begin, preheat the oven to 357 degrees.

Next, you will need to brown your ground beef.

Once the ground beef is fully cooked you will need to drain off all of the excess grease.

Taco seasoning being added to the ground beef.

Add the taco seasoning and follow the cooking instructions on the packet.

While the taco meat is simmering you will unroll the cans of crescent rolls and line a greased baking dish with them, pressing them across the bottom and up the sides.

Pour in the taco meat into the baking dish and spread across the bottom.

Shredded cheese on top of the taco meat in the baking dish.

Top with the shredded cheese.

Place in the oven.

The oven set to 375 degrees.

Bake at 375 degrees for...

The timer set your 17 minutes.

I topped our Quick and Easy Taco Pie with some green onion, diced tomatoes, avocado, and sour cream.  If you wanted to really dress this up you could add some corn and black beans into the pie filling as well!  The possibilities are endless.  One thing I do know is that you and your family are going to DEVOUR this recipe and come back for more, so get in the kitchen and give it a try tonight!

  8. Add your toppings of choice.

NOTES:

To dress this Quick and Easy Taco Pie up you could add black beans and corn to the pie filling.
