How to Make Restaurant Style Baked Potatoes Recipe

One of my favorite things about going to a nice steakhouse are the baked potato.  Crispy skin packed full of flavor, dripping with butter...ahhhh yeah I am drooling a little just thinking about it!  The good news is you can have those delicious restaurant style baked potatoes at home with my easy How to Make Restaurant Style Baked Potatoes Recipe

For this How to Make Restaurant Style Baked Potatoes Recipe you will need a few simple ingredients:

The ingredients used to make the restaurant style baked potatoes.

  • Large Baking Potatoes
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Onion Powder
  • Garlic Powder
To begin you will need to preheat your oven to 450 degrees.

After that you will want to wash your potatoes.

Holes being poked into the potato with a fork.

Now take a fork and poke holes all around the potatoes.

As your potato bakes in the oven the water inside will create steam.  This can cause the potato to explode if you omit this step.  No one wants that.

A bottle of oil used to drizzle over the potatoes.

Now drizzle your oil of choice (I like EVOO) over the potatoes and rub all around until they are coated.

The seasonings used to season the restaurant style baked potatoes.

Season with the salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.

Now place on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 45 minutes.

Take a knife and cut a small slit into the top of the hot potato.

Then gently squeeze on either end to create a pocket.  This is where are all good stuff goes.

  2. Wash the potatoes.
  3. Drizzle with oil and rub until fully coated.  
  4. Season with the salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. 
  5. Place on baking sheet and cook for 45 minutes. 
  6. Cut a slit into the top of the potato. 
  7. Pressing on either end create a pocket. 
  8. Fill pocket with favorite toppings. 
  9. Serve and Enjoy!
