Easy Crockpot Beef and Noodles Recipe

In the past my husband and I would purchase a quarter beef.  Like anyone else, we would breeze through all the good cuts and then be left with the "less that savory" cuts.  I have been trying to save money and use what I have left in my freezer, so I've been looking for uses for these top round steaks.  They aren't great on the grill, they don't fry up well, WHAT TO DO!?!  That's when I decided to put them in the crockpot to make this Easy Crockpot Beef and Noodle Recipe.

Tender, flavorful, everything you want your beef and noodle recipe to be!  It was out of this world.  I know you are going to love it so...

Let's Get Started!

For this Easy Crockpot Beef and Noodle Recipe you are going to need a few simple ingredients:

  • 3lb Chuck Roast
  • 12oz Package of Frozen Homestyle Egg Noodles
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 packet of Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 packet of Brown Gravy Mix
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste
For easy clean up I always recommend using one of these nifty crockpot liners.  They are so nice y'all.

Next, place your beef in the bottom of the slow cooker.

After that you are going to liberally season your beef with kosher salt and...

ground black pepper.

Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the beef along with the...

brown gravy mix.

Pour the beef broth over the beef.

Place the lid on your crockpot and set to LOW for 8 hours.

After 8 hours remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred.
This is honestly so easy because the beef is extremely tender.  It literally just falls apart.

Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and add the frozen noodles.

Place the lid on the crockpot and cook for 30 more minutes.

Your Easy Crockpot Beef and Noodles Recipe is now perfectly cooked and ready to eat!  It's that simple.

I wish I could find the right words to express to you how rich and flavorful this Easy Crockpot Beef and Noodles Recipe is.  The beef is so tender and I love the hearty element the frozen, homestyle noodles add to the dish.  I served this with some beautiful steamed broccoli and it was honestly the perfect meal.  I know everyone in your life is going to love it, so get in the kitchen and give it a try TONIGHT!

And as always...

  1. I have everything but the gravy packet. Would it make a big difference without it? I don’t want to drag my 8 month old out just for gravy packet!! Haha

    1. Flavor wise it should be fine. It may be just a tad watery though.

  6. You were talking about what to do with round steak. I make Swiss steak. Flour, S&P meat, brown n little oil. Put in casserole or crock pot, top with sliced onions, celery, carrots, one of each, then pour over a large 30oz can of chopped tomatoes. Cook all day in CP 4 hrs or so in low oven.
