I live in West Virginia.  Around here we talk a little slower, wave to everyone like we know them, and you can bet your bottom dollar that EVERYONE has a casserole recipe (or two) that they can whip up in their sleep without even thinking about it!  This Chicken and Stuffing Casserole Recipe is just that!

This is one of those dump and go kinda casseroles that require very little preparation which makes it PERFECT for any busy night!  I know you're going to LOVE this one so...

Let's get started!

For this Chicken and Stuffing Casserole you're going to need a few simple ingredients.

A picture of the ingredients needed to make the Chicken and Stuffing Casserole Recipe.

  • 4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 Box of Stuffing Mix
  • 1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 c Sour Cream
  • 1 c Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Chives to top
To begin you'll need to pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.

The prepared stuffing mix, in the pan, on the stove.

While the oven is preheating go ahead and prepare the stuffing mix according to the directions on the box.  This literally only take minutes.

The uncooked chicken in a greased baking dish, seasoned with salt and pepper.

While the stuffing is cooking, place the chicken into a greased baking dish and season with a little salt and pepper.

The sour cream and cream of mushroom mixed together in a bowl on the counter.

After that, go ahead and mix the sour cream and cream of mushroom soup together in a small mixing bowl.

The cream mixture spread over the uncooked chicken in the baking dish.

Once they're combined, go ahead and spread the mixture over the chicken.

Just look at that!  You know good things are about to happen here.

By now the stuffing should be finished.  Place it over the top of the entire casserole.
