INGREDIENTS:

For the Kebabs:

  • 1-2 lbs of Steak (sirloin, ribeye, or your choice)
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 (8 oz) container of Mushrooms
  • 1 Red Onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 Zucchini, sliced into thick rounds
  • 8-10 Wooden or Metal Skewers

For the Secret Sauce Marinade:
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preparing the Marinade:  In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt until well combined.  Cut the steak into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.  Pour the marinade over the steak cubes, ensuring they are fully coated.  Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  2. Assemble the Kebabs:  If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.  Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.  Remove the marinated steak from the refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.  Thread the steak cubes, bell pepper, red onion, mushrooms, and zucchini onto the skewers, alternating between meat and vegetables.
  3. Grilling the Kebabs:  Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.  Place the kebabs on the preheated grill and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they steak reaches your desired level of doneness and the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.  Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

  • Pair with a fresh garden salad or grilled corn on the cob.
  • Drizzle extra marinade over the kebabs for added flavor.

TIPS FOR THE BEST GRILLED STEAK KEBABS:
  • Marinate Longer:  The longer you marinate the steak, the more flavorful and tender it will be.
  • Use Fresh Ingredients:  Fresh vegetables and high-quality steak make a big difference in taste.
  • Preheat the Grill: Ensure your grill is hot before adding the kebabs to get a nice sear on the meat.
  • Rest the Meat:  Letting the kebabs rest after grilling allows the juices to redistribute, making the steak more succulent.
