Easy Grilled Steak Kebab Recipe

Every year Studhubs and I purchase a 1/4 beef from a local farmer.  We get a TON of different cuts and grinds, but the one cut I always seem to have left at the end year is top round.  Though I don't care for this cut on the grill by itself, I LOVE to use it in various other ways such as my At Home Steak Hibachi with Vegetables and these Easy Grilled Steak Kebabs.

So simple and ready in minutes, you can have a delicious steak dinner on the table that the whole family will love!  I can't wait to share it with you soooooo.....

Let's get started!

Easy Grilled Steak Kebab Recipe:
*Prep time:  20 min *Cook Time: 10 min  *Difficulty:  Easy  *Servings: 6-8 Kebabs

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Top Round Steak, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 Bell Pepper, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 Onion, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 Container of Mushrooms, halved
  • 1 Zucchini, halved
  • 1 Bottle of Zesty Italian Salad Dressing
  • 1/4 c Soy Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Bamboo Skewers, soaked in water

When making kebabs, one very important detail is making sure you soak your skewers.
I actually like to soak mine overnight, in the sink. This helps to prevent them from burning on the grill.

Next, place your cubed top round (or any cut steak of your choice) into a large bowl and season with salt (I used a teaspoon),

Pepper (I used a half a teaspoon),

HALF the bottle of Italian Dressing,

And the soy sauce.

Mix it all together and place it in the refrigerator to marinate for 30 minutes to overnight.
I think letting the steak marinate overnight is best.

Now for the most tedious part of this process, chopping the veggies.
I am using red onion, orange bell pepper, cremini mushrooms, and zucchini for mine because that's  what I had on hand.  The beauty of kebabs is that you can used whatever veggies you like!

After your steak has marinated and your veggies are chopped you can assemble your kebabs.
I like the two pieces of meat to two pieces of veg approach.

Now you can take your kebabs out to your preheated grill and cook them for 2-3 minutes per side.

I like to use the other half of the Italian dressing to baste the kebabs as they cook.

And there you have it!  STUNNING Grilled Steak Kebabs that are full of great flavor and healthy veggies!  And speaking of veggies, what better way to get your kids to eat their veggies than to put them on a stick!  This really is a complete meal in one, but I like to serve mine with some yummy rice!  So if you have some veg in your fridge that you need to use up, or want a steak dinner on a budget, give these delicious, Easy Grilled Steak Kebobs a try TONIGHT!  OH!  And if steak is not your thing, check out my Grilled Chicken Kebab Recipe!

And As Always...
