Spicy Thai Tuna Burger Recipe: A flavorful and Healthy Delight

To make this quick and easy, I used this Bumble Bee Sensations Spicy Thai Chili Seasoned Tuna Medley.  However, if you can't find it in your local grocer, I will include the made-from-scratch instructions.  









INGREDEINTS:

For these Spicy Thai Tuna Burgers, you will need to gather a few simple ingredients.




For the Convenience Version:
  • 2 Cans of Bumble Bee Sensations Spicy Thai Chili Tuna 
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 Green Onions, finely sliced 
Toppings:
  • Coleslaw
  • Brioche Bun
  • Lettuce
  • Red onion







For the Made-From-Scratch Version:

  • 2 Cans of Tuna, drained
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Thai Red Curry Paste (less for less spice)
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Clove of Garlic minced
  • 2 Green Onions, finely sliced
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 Lime
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste



Toppings:






INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Prepare the Tuna Mixture:  In a large bowl, combine the Spicy Thai Tuna, Panko bread crumbs, eggs, and green onions. If you are using the made-from-scratch options, combine those.  Salt and pepper to taste.
  2. For the Patties:  Divide the tuna mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty. 
  3. Cook the Patties:  Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.  Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.  
  4. Assemble the Burgers:  Serve the tuna patties on the brioche bun.  Squeeze some fresh lime juice, and cilantro over it, along with coleslaw, lettuce, red onion, sliced tomato, what ever your favorite toppings are. 
  5. Enjoy:  Serve with a side of sweet potato fries (I'll link my recipe HERE) or a fresh salad.  





Serving Suggestions:

Pair your Spicy Thai Tuna Burger with a refreshing cucumber salad or a side of crispy, sweet potato fries.  For and extra kick, serve with spicy Sriracha mayo or a tangy Thai peanut sauce. 


















TIPS FOR THE BEST SPICY THAI TUNA BURGER:

  • Fresh Ingredients:  Use the freshest ingredients for the best flavor.  Fresh lime juice and cilantro are key. 
  • Customize Your Spice Level:  Adjust the amount of red chili paste to suit your heat preference.  
  • Perfect Patties:  If the mixture is too wet, add a little more breadcrumbs.  If too dry, add a bit more lime juice or a splash of water.
