Several years ago my Studhubs and I went to a very popular seafood chain for dinner one night. We had received a gift card and thought "Why not!". Immediately Studhubs was blown away by the cheddar biscuits! I think he put it like this..."OMG, you HAVE to learn how to make these!"
Well, try as I may, I could not find a good copy cat recipe. That was until two days ago when I put out a cry for help in a Facebook group I belong to.
One lady gave me the recipe, and one lady, who works for said chain, told me how to perfect it. Since it was Studhubs birthday I decided to give it a try and WOW!!!! They turned out SPOT ON!! So much so that Studhubs thought I had bought some from the restaurant. Since this recipe was so easy and a great success I am going to share it with you!
Cheddar Biscuits:
*Prep-Time: 3 minutes *Cook Time: 8-10 minutes *Difficulty: Easy *Servings: 8 biscuits
Here is what you will need:
- 2 c. baking mix (Bisquick)
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1 c. shredded cheese
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- Dried parsley
Tools You Will Need:
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring Cups
- Measuring Spoons
- Rubber Spatula
- Ice cream scoop
- Baking sheet
- Sauce pan
The first thing you will want to do is melt your 1 stick of butter.
Then, in a mixing bowl, add your baking mix...
Milk...
Half of your melted butter...
And your cheese.
Gently stir it all together until incorporated well.
Spoon out on a greased baking sheet.
I used an ice cream scoop here. It helps create equal sized portions.
And place in a 450 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.
While the biscuits are baking, add your garlic powder to the other half of the melted butter.
AS SOON AS the biscuits come out of the oven, brush the rest of the butter over them.
Don't be shy with the butter!
Sprinkle with the dried parsley and...
Serve!
Like I said before, these were spot on! My Studhubs thought I had ordered out.
Light, flaky, buttery, they were amazing!
The best part...that are SO easy! Perfect for a weeknight bread!
I hope you enjoy this recipe and as always...
