I think it's safe to say at this point y'all know I love cooking for my family, but sometimes I don't want to spend hours doing it. Some nights I just don't want a lot of dishes. Some nights I just don't want a lot of fuss. It's on evenings like this that nothing beats a delicious BLT. However, I am The Kitchen Wife, and I DO have a reputation to uphold lol, so if I'm going to do a BLT for dinner I'm going to take it to the next level! Enter my Candied Bacon BLT with Sriracha Mayo.
There's nothing quite like it, and they're so good, a local restaurant even featured them as their weekly special. The best part, these Candied Bacon BLT's with Sriracha Mayo couldn't be easier to make. I'm so excited to share this one with you so let's get started!
Candied Bacon BLT with Sriracha Mayonnaise:
*Prep Time: 3 min. *Cook Time: 15-20 min. *Difficulty: Easy *Servings: 4 Sandwiches
Ingredients:
- 16 slices of Thick Cut Bacon
- 1/4 c. Brown Sugar
- 1/2 c. Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. Sriracha Sauce
- Roma Tomatoes, sliced
- Bib Lettuce
- Sliced Bread
To begin you'll need to preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Next place the bacon into a resealable bag...
And add the brown sugar.
Press the air out and seal the bag.
Rub the sugar all around so that it totally coats the bacon.
Now take a baking sheet and cover it with foil.
If you have one, place a cooling rack on top of the foil lined baking sheet.
If you don't have one, don't worry about it.
Now place the bacon onto the rack, on the baking sheet.
Place into the preheated oven, and let cook for 15-20 minutes, until it reaches your desired crispness.
And can we just talk about this for a second?
WHY??? WHY have we not been making our bacon in the oven for like ever!?!
No mess, and it comes out perfect EVERY time!!! This is like, well, it's just pretty amazing.
While the bacon is cooking combine the mayonnaise and sriracha sauce in a small bowl.
Look at how beautiful that bacon looks!
That's not grease on the bacon, it's a nice little candy shell.
AMAZING!
All you have to do it assemble your sandwich how you like it!
I like mine on toasted white bread with slices of juicy, red, tomato and crisp bib lettuce.
No matter what you like on it, this Candied Bacon BLT with Sriracha Mayo is sandwich perfection! It has smokiness from the bacon, sweetness from the brown sugar, juiciness from the tomato, freshness from the lettuce, and that perfect layer of spice from the sriracha mayo to bring it all together! It's perfect for lunch, dinner, a late night snack...ANY TIME! So get in the kitchen and give this Candied Bacon BLT with Sriracha Mayonnaise a try TONIGHT!
