Sweet Potato Fries


The official start of summer is upon us! With the availability of fresh produce being more abundant, I am finding myself wanting to make better choices.  However, making better a choice is not the same thing as depriving yourself of the things you love.  Take my delicious, oven-baked, Sweet Potato Fries for example.  All the great flavor and texture of their white, starchy cousin, but so much better for you.  I can't wait to share with you how I did it, so...

Let's Get Started!

Sweet Potato Fries:
*Prep Time: 10 min.  *Cook Time:  20 min.  *Difficulty:  Easy  *Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 4 Sweet Potatoes, peeled and cut into sticks
  • 2-3 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp. Seasoned Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.


To begin, peel the sweet potatoes.


Next, slice each potato length-wise and then cut each slice into sticks.


Place the sticks onto a foil lined baking sheet.


Drizzled the olive oil over the sweet potatoes. 


And then sprinkle the chili powder,


Cumin,


And seasoned salt over the fries.



Toss everything around until all of the fries are well coated. 

Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven, give them a stir, and place back into the oven for another 10 minutes.




And there you have it!  Crispy, delicious, HEALTHY, Sweet Potato Fries that are perfect for all of those upcoming summer barbeques!  So get in the kitchen tonight and give these a try!  You will be SO glad you did!

  6. Toss until everything is well coated.
  7. Place in the preheated oven bake for 10 minutes.  
  8. Take out, toss, and place back into the oven for another 10 minutes. 
  9. Remove from oven, serve and enjoy!
