Easter Sunday with My Family

 Yesterday was Easter Sunday!
It is truly one of my FAVORITE Holidays!  In life, I am first and foremost a Christian, so of course this holiday holds very special meaning for me.  I love Resurrection Sunday Service with my church family, and afterwards I love spending time with my biological family as well!  :)  Let me share a little bit of what we did!
Of course, first things first, we ate!

We had ham...

Scalloped potatoes...

colorful deviled eggs...

green beans...

rolls...

potato salad (which I will post the recipe for in a blog later on today)...

fruit pizza...

and this CRAZY good chocolate cake.

Yes we definitely know how to do it up right!

My mom always puts together a nice table setting, then...

This is my dad ;)
We line up, plate up, and...

CHOW DOWN!

I like to keep things simple, I just get a little of everything.

Oh, and BOTH desserts!  *lol*

After we ate, we did an egg hunt for all of my nieces and nephews in my parents
back yard...

This is Cianah, you all have met.

Colton...

And Reagan.

Rylan wasn't able to make it.
He lives in Columbus with my sister and brother-in-law, and
my sister is about to have Baby Jace ANY day!

After the egg hunt we all just sit around, talk, and enjoy our time together.

Holidays are the best because no one is in a hurry.  We are just there to enjoy the moment.  I treasure these days because I know my nieces and nephews will never be this age again, I know my mother-in-love and parents will not always be with us, I know that, as time goes by, we may not all live in the city or state, but we will always have holidays to come together and love!

I hope you had a great holiday weekend with those you hold most dear, and I would love to hear all about what you did!

And as always,

Happy Reading, Happy Eating, and Happy Living,

~The Kitchen Wife~
