Thai Basil Beef Recipe

A friend of mine's church runs a community garden in my neighborhood.  He was telling me that the basil (which is my FAVORITE herb) was overtaking things and would I like some?  I said of course, but little did I know he would bring me two HUGE BAGS!  So I asked myself "What on earth can I make with this?"  Then I remembered this dish I love to order at a local Asian fusion restaurant, Thai Basil Beef.

The finished bowl of Thai Basil Beef over white rice with the title above.

I had never made Thai Basil Beef, but after a little research I kind of come up with my version of the recipe.  You know, Thai Basil Beef via West Virginia.  lol  Anyway, it's so scrumptious and the fresh basil makes everything really POP!  I know you're gonna love it so...

  1. Hi. I see the chili paste listed, always with an asterisk. I read the entire article and recipe, but don’t see any link to the asterisk. I probably missed it, but would you clarify for me? I haven’t made this and see complicated things online for proper Chile paste.
