Welcome to my West Virginia Kitchen!  It's porch sittin' season, and there's nothing better than a nice cold glass of lemonade on a hot day.  But today, we are taking this beloved summer beverage up a notch!  We will be making some delicious Coconut Lavender Lemonade!

INGREDIENTS:

To make this Coconut Lavender Lemonade, you'll need to gather a few ingredients:

  • 8 cups of Coconut Water
  • The juice of 10 lemons
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • Ice Cubes
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Culinary Lavender
  • 1 drop of Red Food Coloring (optional)
  • 1 drop of Blue Food Coloring (optional)
  • Lemon Slices and Lavender Springs for garnish







INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1:  Prepare the Lavender Syrup
  1. In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar.  
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Remove from the heat and add the dries lavender. 
  4. Let the lavender steep in the syrup for about 20 minutes. 
  5. Strain the syrup into a bowl, discarding the lavender flowers.  Let it cool.






Step 2:  Mix the Lemonade
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the coconut water, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and cooled lavender syrup.  For a color boost add the food coloring.  
  2. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.







Step 3:  Serve
  1. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Coconut Lavender Lemonade over the ice.
  2. Garnish with lemon slices and a sprig of lavender for a beautiful presentation.
  3. Serve Immediately and enjoy!
