I don't know about you, but sickness hits our house when we least expect it, and at the most inopportune time. That's why I alway keep a "Sick Kit" in the back of my pantry stocked with not only my favorite medications such as Theraflu and Tylenol, but Campbell's soup, Premium Saltine Crackers, Lipton teas, and bottled water, as well. Not only are these items great to have at home, but they are perfect to send your college student, active military officer, senior relative, etc. They are super convenient  and make getting ill a little less trying.

I can't wait to share with you how I put this together so...

Let's Get Started!

The first thing I did was head to my local Kroger grocery store and pick up all the items I needed.  I love shopping there because it's close to my house, and I can always find everything I need and
 at a great price.

These are the items you will need for your sick kit:

First up, Campbell’s® Chicken Noodle Soup 22.4 oz. Family Size.  I love the family sized portion
for this because let's be real, usually more than one person in your family is ill at a time.  Soup, paired
with Premium Saltine Crackers, is the perfect combo for your sick kit.  As the chills set in, nothing
warms you up like the warm, hearty broth of some delicious chicken noodle soup.  With no artificial
colors or flavors, moms for generations have trusted Campbell’s® Chicken Noodle Soup to aid in the
recovery of their loved ones.  The Nabisco Premium  Saltine Crackers are wonderful for upset
tummys too!

Next we have Lipton's Soothe Your Tummy Herbal Supplement.  I love drinking warm tea when I am ill.  It feels great on sore scratchy throats, and the Ginger, Peppermint, Fennel Caffeine Free Herbal
Supplements found in the Soothe Your Tummy Blend are perfect when you are feeling a little queezy.

The Soup and tea are perfect for the soul when you are sick, but now let's battle those symptoms.

I ALWAYS have the TYLENOL® Cold + Flu Severe Day and Night Capsules.  This all-in-one
Cold and Flu symptom relief from TYLENOL®  is the #1 doctor recommended pain relief brand and will help to stop the painful coughing, congestion & sore throat in adults and children over 12 years
of age.  ALWAYS be sure to USE AS DIRECTED!  *

After that I like to have Theraflu.  The multi-symptom severe packets cold & flu hot liquid brand
offer powerful symptom relief.

Last, but not least, I am always sure to have a bottle of water or two in my Sick Kit to make sure I am staying hydrated at all times.

How you choose to store your Sick Kit is entirely up to you, but I personally like to use this larger
plastic container.  It is just the right size to hold everything together without taking too much space in my cabinet.  And since there are medications in this Sick Kit, make sure it is out of reach of children and all times.

I hope you find this Sick Kit helpful as we enter into the ever dreaded cold and flu season, and
hopefully it makes things go a little smoother.  Let me know what you like to keep in YOUR Sick Kit and be sure to tag me with pictures!  Also, be sure to check out more great inspiration at the

As always,

  1. I LOVE THIS IDEA. These are all products that I buy anyway, but had never thought of putting them together in a tub like this. I have a car emergency kit in my trunk but not a sick kit in my house! I will now. Thank you for this great post.
