I live in the hills of Wild Wonderful West Virginia. I’m a lover of Christ, wife to John, dog mom to Louie and Lizzie-Jane, planner nerd, coffee obsessed, and all around seasonal living junkie.
I was a pre-k 4 teacher for 12 years until I left my teaching job to take care of my mother-in-love full time. She is 92 years old and has Alzheimer's and dementia. This has definitely been a season of ups and downs, but John and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Oh, and one more thing, I love to cook! However, that wasn’t always the case. As little as 10 years ago I was burning water. Like many of you, I would watch The Food Network and flip through cookbooks thinking to myself “I will never be able to do that.” But I made it my mission to learn how to cook and after many hours poring over cookbooks, devouring cooking shows (as well as numerous kitchen meltdowns), I did!
You see, there’s no greater feeling than preparing a healthy, mouthwatering meal for your friends and family. I’ll never forget those moments of accomplishment in the early days of my culinary journey and that’s what spurred my desire to create this site. You see I believe that ANYONE can cook! It's just a matter of learning a few basic techniques and on this site I’ll give you the tools, along with step-by-step picture instructions that will insure your meals come out perfect every time. So sit a spell, flip around through my recipe box, and make something amazing for dinner tonight.
Happy Reading, Happy Eating, Happy Living,
