With a easy, homemade, sauce and one baking sheet you are going to take simple boneless, skinless chicken breast to the next level.  I can't wait to share it with you so...

Let's Get Started!

Baked Chicken Teriyaki Recipe:
*Prep Time: 10 min *Cook Time: 30 min *Difficulty:  Easy  *Servings:  4-6

Ingredients:

  • 3 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts, cut in half
  •    1 c Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2/3 c Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1/4 c Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 2/3 c Water
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • Chopped Green Onions
  • Sesame Seeds
To begin we are going to preheat the oven to 400 and make our homemade teriyaki sauce.  I was seriously blown away by how simple this is.

All you need to do is combine the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic powder, and ground ginger in a pot.

Then combine with water with the cornstarch and mix it together to make a slurry.

Pour the slurry into the pot and bring the teriyaki sauce to a simmer.

Let it simmer until it becomes thick and glossy.
Turn off the heat and sit it to the side to cool.

While your homemade teriyaki sauce is cooling, you can trimmed any unsavory bits from your chicken breasts and cut them in half through the middle.

Place the chicken on a foiled lined baking sheet, and season them with salt and pepper on both sides.

Then drizzle half of the sauce over the chicken and brush it all over.

Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes remove the chicken from the oven, take off the foil, flip the chicken, pour over the other half of the sauce and brush all the pieces.  Place back into the oven and bake 15 more minutes.

**Cooks Note**
I did turn these several times in the sauce on the pan before serving them.

And there you have it!  A gorgeous chicken recipes that it so flavorful and literally on your table in minutes.  I like to top it with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve it with some steamed broccoli and rice.  This Baked Chicken Teriyaki Recipe will please your entire family so get in the kitchen and give it a try tonight!

And as always...
