Life in The Kitchen Wife house has been a little crazy lately. We recently repainted our house, put a new roof on, threw a HUGE 4th of July BBQ, and hosted our 4 year old granddaughter for a week. Needless to say there has been very little time for just my husband and me, so I really wanted to do something special for him. Nothing says I love you to John like a great dessert, so I headed to Walmart to see what inspired me. It didn’t take long before I hit the inspiration jackpot!
As I was coming around the bend of the freezer section I came across a display for Smucker’s Ice Cream Toppings. On the very top shelf was the Magic Shell Syrup. Now my husband LOVES Magic Shell, but I didn’t realize how many great flavor’s Smucker’s had available! The flavor that really caught my eye was the Chocolate Pretzel one. I am a sucker for sweet and salty and I knew this was going to be amazing!
Now that I had to topping, I needed to find the perfect ice cream to accompany it! One thing that I love about Walmart is that they offer so many quality flavors in their Great Value lines. And not only are they quality products, but they have a fantastic variety of flavors as well. As I got to the Great Value section I immediately saw the Sea Salt Truffle Ice Cream and I thought “BINGO”! Chocolate, pretzel, caramel, OH YEAH. But there was still something missing. Don’t get me wrong. The Smucker’s Chocolate Pretzel topping and Sea Salt Caramel Ice Cream is the perfect treat, but I just needed a little something else to take this to the level of special dessert for the most special person in my world.
So kept wandering and then I found it! The one item that would take this treat to the next level! I found these ADORABLE Pretzel Spoons! WHAT!?! How amazing is that! I now know exactly what I am making, just a couple more things to pick up and thanks for Smucker’s Ice Cream Toppings and Great Value this is going to be a delicious #SundaeFundae treat! Keep an eye for the recipe! You are going to love it! Until then head on over to www.smuckers.comfor some great ideas for making everyday a sundae!
