Rosemary & Garlic Roasted Potatoes

Rosemary and garlic roasted potatoes

Potatoes are the perfect side to just about every dish.  More often than not mashed potatoes are America's go to, but the beauty of potatoes is that there are endless ways to prepare them. Growing up, my dad made these delicious Rosemary and Garlic Red Potatoes.  They were so good that I can't remember there ever being any leftovers, and they could not be more simple to make.  I can't wait to share this childhood favorite with you so Let's Get Started!

Roasted Rosemary and Garlic Red Potatoes:
*Prep Time:  10 min.  *Cook Time:  30 min.  *Difficulty:  Easy  *Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:


  • 1 3 lb. Bag of Red Potatoes, quartered
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp. Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. Rosemary, minced
  • 2-3 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
To begin preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with foil and place into the oven to heat as well. 



Next, scrub your potatoes and cut them in to quarters.
Place the potatoes into a large mixing bowl.


To the potatoes add the garlic powder,


Onion powder,


Salt,


And pepper.

When I made these we had guests over for dinner.  They had their children with them and they were not to keen on whole onion and garlic being in their food.  If you like you can use a whole onion quartered and 4-6 cloves of garlic minced, but this way is JUST as flavorful.


You will also add the the rosemary,


And olive oil.


Give everything a nice toss so that everything is coated and all the seasoning is spread throughout the dish.


Now you will remove the baking sheet from the oven.
Pour the potatoes onto the hot baking sheet.  You will hear a nice sizzle sound.  This means that you are going to have some lovely brown, crispy edges.  :)


Place the baking sheet back into the oven.
Cook for 15 minutes.  Remove from oven, stir the potatoes around, and return them to the oven for another 15 minutes.

When the potatoes are fork tender they are ready to eat!

Oh would you look at that.  Crispy outside, creamy middle, and PACKED full of flavor!  Potatoes don't get much better than this.
